Dr. Johnson grew up on her family’s farm in Dodson, LA where they raised cattle, horses, goats, pigs, dogs and cats. She attended Dodson High School and graduated valedictorian in 2007. Dr. Johnson then attended Louisiana Tech University from 2007-2010 where she earned her bachelors degree in animal science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. She was accepted into the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She completed 4 years of veterinary school with a special interest in mixed animal medicine and graduated from LSU in May 2014.
After graduation, Dr. Johnson and her husband, Lee, moved back to their hometown of Dodson, LA. She then began working at Winnfield Animal Clinic in Winnfield, LA and at Pine Hills Veterinary Hospital in West Monroe, LA. Dr. Johnson joined the Jonesboro Animal Clinic team as an associate veterinarian in August 2017. In October 2018, she bought the Jonesboro Animal Clinic and now continues to work as the sole veterinarian at the clinic. She enjoys treating dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, pigs and cattle. In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her son, Reece, and daughter, Rilynn! She is also actively involved in her local church.
